Hotels, Motels, and B&Bs

While the year-round population of the South Fork is about 100,000, the summer population soars to more than double that.  This number is obviously less certain than the Census Bureau's estimate of the year-round population.

Where do people stay when they come during the summer?

Many own houses where they come for extended stays during the warm weather.

Some of those houses get rented through real estate agents or online rental brokers like VRBO, AirBnB, and Booking.com, among others.

Beyond that the South Fork boasts dozens of hotels, motels, and B&Bs.
