Mission

South-Fork.info is a resource site for residents of and visitors to the South Fork of Long Island.

Initially we will be publishing a directory of "better" eateries in the area.  As time progresses we may expand our coverage to include Shelter Island and parts of Riverhead.  Once we have completed our coverage of these areas we will consider expanding into adjacent sectors (delicatessens, sandwich shops, ice cream shops, coffee shops, diners, bakeries, pizza parlors, bars and watering holes, and so on).  Beyond that, the sky is the limit, depending on what moves our spirit.

This website is mostly a love letter to the East End.  If we can generate revenue from it, perhaps through advertising, we will do that.  We do not, however, expect to make our fortunes from this site.  We will not take payment from South Fork businesses for promotion, for placement, or for reviews.  And if we do generate some revenue from the site, the excess over our expenses will be donated to local South Fork not-for-profits.
